Wayward Pines - The Truth clip: Ethan fights a mysterious foe in the forest

Since Ethan Burke woke up in Wayward Pines, all he’s wanted is the truth—answers to the who, what, where, when, and why of his life in the mysterious and dangerous titular town. And if this week’s episode title is any indication, he’ll find just that. (It’s, uh, called “The Truth.” )

But nothing is that easy in the town of Wayward Pines, and an exclusive new clip from the show demonstrates just how difficult the path to that truth will be.

In the clip, Burke has a showdown in the forest with a… well, we don’t really know what. The show has hinted at the dangers awaiting outside the streets of Pines, but whatever it is moves much faster than Burke can aim, and it could cost him his life.

Those who have read Pines, the first novel from the series the show is based on, may have some idea about which foe awaits Burke—but Wayward Pines hasn’t been shy about switching things up. Viewers will be able to see more of Burke’s search for answers—and whether he’ll survive that search—when Wayward Pines airs tomorrow on Fox at 9 p.m. ET.
