Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart kiss at Mr. Holmes premiere

Forget Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon, and Taylor Swift and the entire cast of the “Bad Blood” video — only one celebrity friendship matters: the glorious bromance between Sir Patrick Stewart and Sir Ian McKellen.

They’ve explored New York City together, taking touristy photos and holding hands at Coney Island. They’ve teamed up on Broadway and faced off onscreen as Professor X and Magneto. McKellen even officiated Stewart’s wedding. And on Wednesday, they reunited at the premiere for McKellen’s new film, Mr. Holmes, where they shared a kiss. Stewart and his wife, Sunny Ozell, showed up to support McKellen in his role as Sherlock Holmes.

Earlier this year in an EW Facebook chat, Stewart said he and McKellen would love to star in a buddy comedy together. Which means someone needs to get started on that script immediately and make that happen.
