The Rolling Stones invited one lucky fan to perform with them onstage at their Kansas City concert on Saturday: Ed Sheeran.

The Stones stopped at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City as part of their Zip Code Tour, and Sheeran joined them on acoustic guitar in a surprise performance of their hit “Beast of Burden.” He later posted a selfie with the band on Instagram, with the caption: “Just sung a song on stage with these ladz.”

Although the Stones said they decided on “Beast of Burden” after “days of discussion,” Sheeran and Mick Jagger joked earlier that they’d been rehearsing a cover of Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen” instead. “It’s one of the favorite songs of this group,” Jagger said, “so we’re bashing away at the piano and guitar doing that.”
