Guardians of the Galaxy 2 won’t fly into theaters until 2017, but director James Gunn is dropping more hints about what to expect when it does.

Speaking at the Saturn Awards over the weekend, Gunn said the film will be more emotional than its blockbuster predecessor.

“I think it’s a more emotional movie,” he told Collider. “It’s both a bigger movie and a smaller movie because we focus more intensely on some of the characters.”

Gunn, who shared a photo of the sequel’s first draft earlier this month, also said Marvel moviegoers will “get to learn a lot about fathers in the second movie,” which could mean revelations about Peter Quill/Star-Lord’s (Chris Pratt) origins.

He also teased that Star-Lord’s catchy mixtape will be getting a sequel of its own. “We haven’t listened to Awesome Mix 2, yet, so we get to hear it in the sequel,” Gunn revealed.
