'London Has Fallen' first teaser trailer, with Gerard Butler, Morgan Freeman

The U.K. is under attack (and Gerard Butler is there to save the day) in this first teaser trailer for London Has Fallen.

The sequel to Olympus Has Fallen brings the action across the pond, where the British prime minister has died under mysterious circumstances. Secret Service agent Mike Banning (Butler) accompanies the president (Aaron Eckhart) to attend the funeral, which becomes a target of a deadly plot to kill the world’s most powerful leaders.

As the city’s most famous landmarks go up in flames, the pair turn to a British MI-6 agent (Charlotte Riley) for help stopping the destruction.

Morgan Freeman, Melissa Leo, and Angela Bassett also star in the film, which opens in U.S. theaters on Jan. 22.
