There are a ton of dance numbers in Magic Mike XXL, but one by Big Dick Richie (Joe Manganiello) packs an extra punch.
Hopped up on the party drug Molly, Richie performs an elaborate routine to entertain a lonely convenience-store clerk. The dance is set to a certain iconic boy-band tune that we can’t spoil (but you can probably guess). “I’m friends with a member of a very popular five-part harmony group,” Manganiello says. “And we were talking about this [scene] and what the music was going to be. I said, ‘There’s only one song that could be worthy.’ When it comes on the radio, no matter how tough a dude you are, the windows go up and you sing along.”
