Edward Burns ventures into 1967 New York in Public Morals trailer

Edward Burns is a busy guy: The Saving Private Ryan star created, wrote, produced, and directed TNT’s upcoming Public Morals—oh, yeah, and he also stars in the show too.

In a new trailer for the crime drama, Burns plays a police officer who is trying to keep 1967 New York in check while also trying to be a honorable family man. Michael Rapaport, Elizabeth Masucci, and Matt McGorry also appear in the trailer, which features tons of guns, violence, and old-timey hats.

Public Morals premieres on TNT Aug. 17 at 9 p.m. Watch the trailer below.
