What a time to be alive.

Boy band aficionados need no longer choose their favorite child: Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC are teaming up to star in a Syfy channel movie called Dead 7.

The film will be written and directed by BSB’s Nick Carter, who will also star alongside wife Lauren Kitt. Bandmate AJ McLean will join him, as will *NSYNC’s Joey Fatone.

And if Carter had his way, One Direction‘s resident Irishman and bottle blond, Niall Horan, would play his brother!

“Ok @NiallOfficial I know we’re from different generations but…would you like to play my brother in this zombie movie with me?” Carter tweeted Sunday.

Something tells us that Horan might be a little too busy to make an appearance given 1D’s fast-paced touring and recording schedule, but a boy band devotee can dream.

Pop music’s newest supergroup promoted the movie — a Western — at San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend and the film will be produced by The Asylum, the same studio that brought you Sharknado.

Dead 7 is the story of a ragtag band of gunslingers who must rid a small town of a zombie plague in a post-apocalyptic West,” reads an Asylum press release. “Carter will play Jack, the reluctant hero who unites the outlaws to face the zombie menace.”
