Justice League: Gods and Monsters promises a unique take on many of your beloved DC Comics characters like you’ve never seen before. But even if that promise sounds familiar, the film’s voice cast explains that this time, it’s actually true.

Paget Brewster, C. Thomas Howell, and Tamara Taylor stopped by the Entertainment Weekly Lounge at Comic-Con to give fans a taste of what to expect from the upcoming DC animated film. Set in an alternate universe, Gods and Monsters offers a look at characters like Wonder Woman, Batman, Lois Lane, and many more like you wouldn’t expect.

Watch the video above to hear from the voice cast about what exactly that means for the film — even if they’re sworn to some secrecy — as well as for a voice acting lesson from Howell. Now you’ll be able to verbally throw and take a punch like never before.
