It’s nearly impossible to get tickets to Hamilton on Broadway right now — unless, of course, you’re Barack Obama.

President Obama and his daughters, Sasha and Malia, caught a matinee performance Saturday of the hit musical with the show’s creator and star Lin-Manuel Miranda. (Miranda’s understudy, Javier Muñoz, performed instead.) The show itself tells the life story of Alexander Hamilton and other founding fathers, with a racially diverse cast and a hip-hop score.

“It was a real kick to see the first three presidents of the United States onstage while sitting with the current president,” Miranda told The New York Times. “He’s in that line.”

During intermission, the president visited with the cast backstage, and White House spokesman Eric Schultz said that Obama thought the play was “fabulous.”
