On Aug. 5, 2010, 33 Chilean miners found themselves trapped more than 200 stories underground following the collapse of the San Jose mine. After 69 days buried deep within the mine, all 33 men were rescued. Mexican director Patricia Riggen is bringing their story to the big screen in the upcoming movie, The 33.

The first trailer for the film shows the complications above and below ground as authorities attempt to stage a risky rescue, with the nation — and the world — looking on. The men must rally to beat the odds to stay alive, with only hope and each other to keep themselves pushing forward.

The 33 stars Antonio Banderas, Rodrigo Santoro, James Brolin, Juliette Binoche, Cote de Pablo, Lou Diamond Phillips, and Gabriel Byrne.

The 33 is set to premiere in theaters Nov. 13.
