John Green wrote a passionate defense of Cara Delevingne on Thursday, and while Delevingne didn’t initially realize the strong words were written by the Paper Towns author, she appreciated the support nonetheless.

“Whoever said this! Thank you so much!” Delevingne wrote on Twitter alongside a photo of a section of Green’s text.

Green was quick to respond to Delevingne.

It’s been a busy week for Delevingne, who took part in an interview with Good Day Sacramento that went viral because of its awkwardness. The morning show hosts called Delevingne “Carla” and asked if she had read Paper Towns before starring in its film adaptation. Delevinge was later criticized for her actions in the interview by hosts on The View.

“I am soooooo lucky and anyone who thinks I am unappreciative or ungrateful clearly doesn’t know me,” Delevingne wrote on Twitter on Thursday. “I work really really hard and love what I do, I don’t feel like I need to apologize for being human.”
