Bryan Singer has directed four superhero movies and is currently working on X-Men: Apocalypse, but he’s shifting gears for his next feature. EW can confirm a Variety report that the filmmaker and Guy Shalem are developing a documentary about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, tentatively titled In the Middle of the Middle East.

Singer has previously produced documentaries including 2006’s Look, Up in the Sky! The Amazing Story of Superman and 2008’s Valkyrie: The Plot to Kill Hitler. It’s not clear whether or not he will direct this one, which Variety reported will be told from the perspective of an Arab-Israeli activist.

The movie is set to arrive in fall 2016.
