Brett Morgen’s hit Sundance documentary Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck, which EW critic Chris Nashawaty named as one of the best films of 2015 so far, will get a theatrical re-release on Friday, having already aired on HBO and had a limited theatrical run this spring.

In anticipation of the acclaimed music documentary’s return to theaters, Opie with Jim Norton radio posted a previously unreleased clip that was originally going to be the film’s final scene.

The difficult-to-watch clip, a home video filmed by a giggly Courtney Love, sees the iconic Nirvana frontman lying in bed next to a plate of unfinished food and a bucket of vomit, telling Love about his stomach condition.

“I was sedated in the arm,” he says, to which Love replies, laughing, “Mmm, you must have liked that! We all know about your little problem!” Cobain goes along with her joke, “Oh, needles, needles, keep ‘em coming!”
