The soundtrack for Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck — which is made up of previously unreleased Cobain recordings — is set to come out Nov. 6, director Brett Morgen told Deadline’s AwardsLine Tuesday.

Montage of Heck‘s limited theatrical run began April 24, and the documentary premiered on HBO May 4. It went on to receive rave reviews for its portrayal of the Nirvana frontman, partly thanks to Morgen’s access to never-before-seen footage, recordings, art, and notes from Cobain’s life.

“Documentary as a medium is intended to look at people from the outside,” Morgen told EW in April. “With Montage of Heck, we had the opportunity to look from the inside looking out.”

Montage of Heck is currently available on HBO and will be released as a DVD Nov. 6.
