NBC has renewed American Ninja Warrior, the network announced at the Television Critics Association’s semi-annual press tour.
This will mark the obstacle course competition’s fifth season on the network, but it will be the show’s eighth season overall, having previously aired on G4 and the Esquire Network.
Hosted by Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbajabiamila, American Ninja Warrior has been averaging 7.1 million viewers and a 2.2 in the coveted 18-49 demographic in its current season.
American Ninja Warrior’s three-hour season finale is slated to air Monday, Sept. 14 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
