Will Space Jam 2 ever happen? It seems LeBron James is determined to make it happen, and though he may have nothing official to say, a recent interview suggests the outlook for the film is still a good one.

James appeared on Today to discuss his charity work, but also took some time to explain whether Space Jam 2 is a distant dream or close to a reality.

“We hope so,” he said in response to if a Space Jam 2 will happen with him involved. “We definitely miss them, Bugs and Daffy and Tasmanian Devil, and every last one of them, so hopefully we can do some great things.”

James, who starred in this summer’s Trainwreck, hasn’t been shy about expressing his love for the franchise, and with his newly announced deal to produce projects with Warner Bros., who has the rights to the film franchise and the Looney Tunes, he’s in the perfect position to do so.
