I Am Cait: Kris Jenner and Caitlyn Jenner have a confrontation about the Vanity Fair cover story

Sunday’s episode of I Am Cait featured emotional confrontations between Caitlyn Jenner and stepdaughters Khloé and Kim Kardashian, both of whom were unhappy with how their mother, Kris Jenner, was portrayed in Caitlyn’s Vanity Fair cover story.

A sneak peek at the rest of the season shows that Kris gets her chance to say her piece to Caitlyn directly, but she doesn’t appear to get the answers she wants. Perhaps rightly, Kris points out, “You’re sensitive and amazing to all these new people in your life. You’re just not so sensitive and amazing to the family you left behind.”

In reply, Caitlyn insists that Kris needs to be more of an “ally” when it comes to “dealing with the kids,” but Kris is still having difficulty dealing with Caitlyn’s transition after 20-plus years of marriage. “When you feel like you gave your whole life to somebody and the sum of it all was you were a distraction …” Kris trails off, to which Caitlyn replies that she was just defending herself: “That doesn’t mean I didn’t love you or the kids.”

I Am Cait airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on E!
