One Direction is going in different directions — PEOPLE reports that the group is taking an extended hiatus starting in March of next year.

The band — a foursome since the departure of Zayn Malik — has apparently agreed to take a yearlong break to pursue solo projects. That means Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan will not tour to promote their fifth album, which is expected to be released later this year.

One Direction’s representation had no comment on the reports.
