Lisa Bonet is “disgusted” about the sexual assault allegations levied against her former onscreen father, Bill Cosby.

In a new interview with The Guardian, Bonet’s daughter, Zoe Kravitz, said that while her mother has not discussed the claims of the more than 50 women who have accused Cosby of abuse, she is “concerned.”

“She’d plead the fifth, even to me. I think she’s just staying out of it,” Kravitz said. “She’s just as disgusted and concerned as everyone else is, but I don’t think she has any insight. It’s news to her as well.”

While Bonet has kept a low profile regarding the Cosby allegations, other former Cosby Show costars have discussed the claims in public forums. Joseph C. Phillips, who played Cosby’s son-in-law on The Cosby Show, declared, “Of course Bill Cosby is guilty!” after a 2005 deposition of Cosby was released. Last year, Cosby’s onscreen wife, Phylicia Rashad, was quoted as saying “forget these women” in reference to the allegations. Rashad later said that her words were misquoted.

“What I said is, ‘This is not about the women. This is about something else. This is about the obliteration of a legacy,'” Rashad said. “I am a woman. I am a woman. I would never say such a thing.”

Keshia Knight Pulliam, who played another one of Cosby’s daughters on the show, also spoke about the allegations in 2014.

“What I can say is this: I wasn’t there. No one was there except for the two people who know exactly what happened,” Pulliam told NBC. “All I can speak to is the man that I know and I love. The fact that he’s been such an example, you can’t take away from the great that he has done. You know, the amount, the millions and millions of dollars that he has given back to colleges and education, and just what he did with ‘The Cosby Show’ and how groundbreaking that was […] Ultimately, they’re just that, allegations. You know, it’s very much been played out in the court of public opinion. But we’re still in America, where ultimately you’re innocent until proven guilty. I wasn’t there. That’s just not the man I know. So I can’t speak to it.”

In her interview with The Guardian, Kravtiz acknowledged it made sense for people to want Bonet’s take on Cosby. “She was on the show for a long time,” Kravitz said. “She’s also a beautiful woman. It makes people wonder. She’s a very straightforward person. If there was something she felt the world needed to know that would help this case or help any women who had been abused, she would say something.”

One former Cosby Show actress, Eden Tirl, said she was a victim of Cosby in 1989.
