Married season 2: Andrea Savage to guest-star as Paul Reiser's friend

An old pal is due to drop by on Married …

Andrea Savage has been enlisted to guest star on the FX comedy that centers on the relationship and child-rearing of married couple Russ (Nat Faxon) and Lina Bowman (Judy Greer), EW has learned exclusively.

Savage (Episodes, The Hotwives of Las Vegas) will play Vanessa, an old friend of supporting character Shep (Paul Reiser) who “has romantic designs on her friend,” according to FX. She will appear in one episode titled “Gymnastics,” which is set to air Oct. 1 at 10 p.m. ET on the network.

News of Savage’s casting follows the recent announcements that Rob Huebel will guest star as Abby’s (Sarah Burns) ex-husband in an episode to air on Sept. 24, and Joanna Cassidy will appear as Russ’ mother Sharon in an episode that will air Thursday.

Married airs Thursdays at 10:30 p.m. ET on FX.
