Joan Rivers death: Fashion Police host remembered during special

Joan Rivers died one year ago, on Sept. 4, 2014, and to honor the late comedian’s life, E! aired a special episode of Fashion Police on Thursday. Called Fashion Police: Celebrating Joan, the special included clips of Rivers interacting with stars such as Kevin Hart, Nicki Minaj, Big Sean, Sarah Silverman, the Kardashians, and even Miss Piggy.

“Not only did I never know what was going to come out of my mother’s mouth, neither did the stars who were brave enough to sit in the hot seat,” Rivers’ daughter, Melissa Rivers, said on the show.

The special also included an entire segment devoted to Rivers’ love for saying the word “p—-.”

E! has paid tribute to Rivers before, including with a 90-minute episode of Fashion Police that aired soon after her death last year.
