You know that HBO’s Silicon Valley is striking a comedy chord when not only are tech industry insiders like Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel and Dropbox CEO Drew Houston popping up in cameo roles — they’re also dabbling in fanfic.

Firefox founder Blake Ross has taken his passion for the show to the next logical level by penning a script for the season 3 premiere and posting it on Facebook because he could take the hiatus no longer.

“I couldn’t wait eight more months for season 3 of Silicon Valley to start, so I spent the past 48 hours writing my own episode. It picks up where season 2 left off,” he wrote. “This is my first television script ever, which means it’s probably the roughest draft I’ve ever shared. I plan to do this a thousand more times until I figure out the medium. Until then, I’m taking a page from all those tech companies who wait ’til the Friday night of an Apple launch to quietly announce that they’re replacing their privacy policy with a Snickers wrapper: I’m shipping while you’re all at Burning Man.”

The episode, titled “Adult Supervision,” resumes the action after last season’s cliffhanger, as Raviga managing partner Laurie (Suzanne Cryer) makes freshly fired Pied Piper CEO Richard (Thomas Middleditch) interview candidates for his old job. There’s even a small role for a real-life character that involves 140 characters. Read the 31-page script here.

If the response is favorable, he may continue down the Pied Piper wormhole and pen additional adventures for the gang. “I’d love constructive feedback from fans of the show,” he told TechCrunch, adding, “If people are interested, I may try to write a whole season before the real season airs in April.”
