Back to the Future screenings will feature Christopher Lloyd and James Tolken

In Back to the Future, Principal Strickland, the chrome-domed martinet who harasses Marty McFly, is no fan of Emmett “Doc” Brown, the reclusive inventor whose best days are ahead of him. “This so-called Dr. Brown is dangerous,” Strickland warns a tardy McFly. “He’s a real nutcase. You hang around with him you’re gonna end up in big trouble.”

But the two actors who famously played the two Hill Valley elders will reunite at Radio City Music Hall for two special screenings of the classic 1985 action-comedy. Christopher Lloyd, who played the wild-haired inventor of time travel, and James Tolken, who portrayed the meddling principal, will join composer Alan Silvestri, writer/producer Bob Gale, and the entire New Jersey Symphony Orchestra for live concert screenings of director Robert Zemeckis’ film. Not only is the movie celebrating its 30th anniversary, but Oct. 15 and Oct. 16 — the dates for two back-to-back events at Radio City — are a prelude to the Oct. 21 celebration of the date that Marty, Doc, and Jennifer arrive in the future.

“We’re absolutely thrilled that both Mr. Lloyd and Mr. Tolkan are able to join us for these two exciting concert screenings,” said Steve Linder, one of the producers of Back to the Future in Concert. “Their iconic performances are a huge part of what made this movie so incredibly special.”

Tickets for the Oct. 15 and Oct. 16 shows are already on sale.
