Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who played Michelle on Full House, aren’t returning for Fuller House — but John Stamos says he’d be happy to have them if they change their minds.

“They’re fully welcome, anytime,” Stamos said on the Today show Monday. “I love them … I understood why they didn’t want to come back. They have big lives, they haven’t acted in a while. But I love them dearly and they’re always welcome on our show.”

Fuller House executive producer Robert L. Boyett shared a similar sentiment back in May when the Olsens made their decision. “Although Ashley and Mary-Kate will not be a part of Fuller House, I know how much Full House has meant to them and they are still very much considered family,” Boyett said in a statement to EW at the time.

Fuller House will premiere on Netflix in 2016. Watch Stamos’ Today show interview below.
