The Choice trailer is a love letter to Nicholas Sparks fans

Nothing brings telegenic neighbors together like when their dogs have puppies together. Or at least that’s what unites Travis Parker (Benjamin Walker) and Gabby Holland (Teresa Palmer) in The Choice, the latest Nicholas Sparks adaptation to come to the big screen.

In the new trailer for the film, Gabby yells at Travis for letting his mutt knock up hers. Gabby continues to “annoy” Travis, which eventually leads to them falling in love. But Gabby has a boyfriend, and gets into a car accident, so their relationship has some complications.

The clip features several of the ways to spot a Sparks movie, including a waterfront party, carnival date night, gospel choir, and a good-looking guy who makes some big mistakes.

The Choice hits theaters Feb. 6.
