There are two more seasons of the groundbreaking podcast Serial in the works, but that’s not enough: It’s coming to your TV.

Fox 21 TV Studios announced Wednesday that the studio and Phil Lord and Chris Miller (The Lego Movie) have optioned the rights to adapt the series into TV, produced by host Sarah Koenig and her This American Life team. There is no network attached.

The specifics of the project are hush-hush, but it would not follow the original case — of Adnan Syed — that Koenig tracked in the debut season; however, it would detail the ordeal in constructing the podcast.

“What you have here is a ‘once every 10 years creative storytelling phenom’ with a ‘once in 10 years take’ with a ‘once in 25 years creative team.’ We are confident we’ll attract a spectacular writer and look forward to pitching it to outlets very soon,” said Fox 21 TV Studios president Bert Salke, via The Hollywood Reporter.

Lord and Miller were recently tapped to direct the young Han Solo Star Wars spinoff and are also developing an animated Spider-Man feature.

The second season of Serial the podcast is slated to debut this fall. It, and the TV show, probably won’t be how Saturday Night Live foresaw it.
