The Leftovers season 2 teasers go inside Miracle, Texas

The Leftovers season 2 premieres Sunday at 9 p.m. ET, and HBO has revealed a batch of new teasers to whet our appetites. Are you ready to witness a Miracle?

In the videos, a recording welcomes Justin Theroux’s Kevin Garvey to Miracle National Park. Located inside Miracle, Texas, a place untouched by “the departure,” this park and its visitor center serves as a “living reminder” of the world as it was before. the Biblical event.

As we’ve seen in full-fledged trailers for season 2, people from all over the country flock to Miracle just to walk through the streets for mere hours. The other teasers reveal a bearded, dirtied man watching over the town square from atop a pillar, while another show’s Regina King’s character opening a secret box in the middle of the woods.

Season 1 of The Leftovers ended at the conclusion of its source material, Tom Perrotta’s book of the same name. However, executive producer Damon Lindelof sees this as an exciting opportunity — in a behind-the-scenes video, he promises to “shake things up” and shy away from “the obvious.”
