The Frankenstein Chronicles has found a home Stateside: the Sean Bean-starring mystery drama will air on A&E, the network announced Wednesday.

Commissioned by U.K.’s ITV, the six-episode miniseries is set in 1827 London, and follows Bean’s Inspector John Marlott. A reimagining of the legendary tale of Frankenstein, The Frankenstein Chronicles focuses on Marlott’s search for a killer following the discovery of a horrifying assembly of mutilated body parts. The investigation pits him up against powerful forces as he hunts for the truth.
