Doc Brown releases heartfelt PSA for Back to the Future Day

Great Scott! Back to the Future day is officially here.

And while Marty McFly is off making a hoverboard escape from Griff — grandson of infamous bully, Biff — Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) has a special message for you. In honor of the day Marty traveled to the future — Oct. 21, 2015 — Universal Pictures released a PSA, courtesy of everyone’s favorite DeLorean-driving inventor.

“The future has finally arrived,” Doc Brown says. “Yes, it is different than we all thought. But don’t worry, it just means your future hasn’t been written yet. No one’s has. Your future is whatever you make it — so make it a good one.”

Lloyd donned his lab coat once again earlier this year for a short featured on the Back to the Future trilogy Blu-ray and DVD 30th anniversary release. But in a recent interview with EW, the actor revealed that if there were to ever be a fourth film (which might be unlikely, but, hey, we can dream), he would “love to be Doc Brown again.”
