Big Bird gets a comedy writing internship in new Funny or Die video

Big Bird is trying to break out of children’s daytime television. In this new video from Funny or Die, the big yellow bird takes his first steps into the world of online comedy content as he becomes an intern at the site.

“I want to be a comedy writer when I grow up!” he says at his first staff meeting. “And a fireman. And an astronaut.”

Big Bird’s got a lot to learn if he wants to make it as a comedy writer, which becomes evident has he submits a crayon drawing as his first sketch and struggles to operate the copy machine.
