It seems Friday Night Lights‘ catchphrase is coming back to bite it: At this point, fans must really think that clear eyes, full hearts, can’t lose, because they will not let go of the possibility of a Friday Night Lights reunion movie.
Kyle Chandler has said that he’s not interested in continuing something that ended so perfectly, and back in 2013, show creator Peter Berg said a sequel film wasn’t happening. But in a recent interview with Vulture, Connie Britton says that despite it all, she could never say no to Tami Taylor. (Then again, who could?)
When asked if she’d do a reunion, Britton said: “I would, I just would. Listen, I love that world. I love those characters. I love those actors. I so understand the argument that it’s already done and we ended it perfectly. I get all that. Yet I feel like if Pete [Berg] wanted to do it, that would mean that he had an idea that was good enough and worth doing. I don’t believe that he does, which is why I think it’s kind of another point. But if that was the case and he had an idea and it was worth doing, I would be onboard 100 percent.”
Maybe she can join Scott Porter in the Unauthorized Friday Night Lights Musical?
