Noel Gallagher thinks Adele's music is for 'grannies'

Noel Gallagher probably hasn’t spent the past couple weeks listening to Adele’s 25 on repeat — and that’s because he’s not a grandma: “I don’t like her music,” he told Australia’s MusicFeeds. “I think it’s music for f–king grannies.”

Grannies probably do like Adele, but so do a lot of people: The “Hello” singer’s 25 has spent two weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and the album set a new record by selling 3.38 million copies in the U.S. in its first week on the shelves.

Gallagher’s opinion on Adele — though uncommon in an Adele-obsessed world — is no big deal, he maintains. “If someone wants to know what I think of Adele, I’ll f–king tell them. Not because I have any sort of agenda or because I’m trying to whip up any kind of hysteria,” he said. “I just don’t see what the fuss is about.”

The former Oasis frontman also addressed how he doesn’t “overthink anything” that he does. “The way I was brought up, you’re obliged to give an honest answer if someone asks you an honest question,” he said. “If you trot out the same bulls–t all the time, then you’re one of them. And I’m not one of them. I’m one of us.”
