Madoff: Richard Dreyfuss stars in first trailer for ABC miniseries

“I’m a rain-maker. I make it rain,” Richard Dreyfuss says coolly, channelling one of the most famous con men in the world. Dreyfuss portrays disgraced financier Bernie Madoff in ABC’s upcoming miniseries Madoff, and we finally get a look at him in the first trailer released Friday.

The biographical miniseries is inspired by Brian Ross’ 2010 book The Madoff Chronicles, and it will show the rise and fall of Bernie Madoff, who set up his $65 billion Ponzi scheme in the 1960s and was finally exposed in 2008. Dreyfuss stars as Madoff, and Blythe Danner will play Madoff’s wife Ruth. The mini-series will also feature Tom Lipinski, Danny Deferrari, Lyne Renee, Charles Grodin, and Lewis Black.

Madoff premieres Wednesday, Feb. 3 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
