Torrent Freak also reports that movies like Straight Outta Compton, Carol, Brooklyn, Room, and Joy have leaked online in recent days as well.

Screeners are often distributed by their respective studios during awards season for the purposes of review and awards consideration, and it’s not unusual for pirated versions to make their way online. Twentieth Century Fox had no comment, while The Weinstein Co. did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The Hateful Eight will screen in 70mm at select theaters starting on Dec. 25 through a special roadshow before expanding on more conventional screens on Jan. 1. The Revenant, in turn, will get a limited release on Christmas Day before going wide on Jan. 8.
