New York police arrested Steely Dan lead singer Donald Fagen after he allegedly shoved his wife Libby Titus into a marble window frame. The altercation reportedly occurred in the couple’s apartment on Manhattan’s Upper East Side Monday evening, according to court papers obtained by EW. He was charged Tuesday morning in Manhattan Criminal Court.

“I don’t feel good,” Titus told the New York Post. “I’m very tired and I’m divorcing my husband.” Police say that Fagen escalated a verbal argument with Titus by grabbing her arms and pushing her to the ground, “causing her to fall onto the frame and suffer bruising and swelling to her right arm, as well as substantial pain.”

A rep for Fagen had no comment on the allegations.

Fagen was arraigned Tuesday on charges of assault and harassment and subsequently released without bail, according to the filed documents. The court also issued an order of protection for Titus.

The couple met while attending Bard College in the ’60s and married in 1993.
