Jewel new Picking Up the Pieces tour announced

Jewel is hitting the road for the first time since 2013, and it’s going to be a bit different.

During the Grammy-nominated artist’s upcoming Picking Up the Pieces Tour, named after her most recent studio album, she’ll not only perform hits from her 12 albums, but she’ll also share stories from her September memoir, Never Broken: Songs Are Only Half the Story.

“It’s going to be really fun to get back out on the road,” Jewel said in a statement. “I’m excited to share the stories behind some of my favorite and most personal songs in such an intimate setting.”

The small tour — hitting nine cities in the Southeast — is the first time the 41-year-old artist has toured since 2013’s Greatest Hits compilation. EW’s Kyle Anderson described Picking Up the Pieces as a “remarkably raw, bracingly honest set of folk and Americana tunes that tap into both the remarkable spirit in her voice and her incredible lyrical honesty.”
