The Grinder is all about brotherly love — or at least tolerance — so perhaps it’s fitting that the Fox comedy will feature some sibling synergy behind the scenes as well.

EW has learned that Chad Lowe will direct an episode of the Fox comedy that stars his brother, Rob.

This is not the first time they’ve worked together. Chad appeared in Rob’s 1984 movie Oxford Blues and directed two episodes of one of Rob’s former shows, Brothers and Sisters.

Lowe, who is a cast member of Pretty Little Liars, has acted in such shows as 24, ER, Melrose Place, and Life Goes On, a role for which he won an Emmy. And like Rob’s costar, Fred Savage, Chad also has a second career as a TV director. He frequently helms episodes of Pretty Little Liars and Bones, and his other credits include Life in Pieces and Law & Order: SVU.

The Lowe-loaded Grinder episode, titled “Delusions of Grinder,” airs in mid-February. It also features guest star Maya Rudolph as a therapist who works with both Dean (Lowe) and Stewart (Savage), the latter of which wants to prove that there is a greater conspiracy against the family law firm.
