Portlandia: Flaming Lips fight in season 6 clip

What’s more awkward than a break-up? Seeing your ex after the fight — and continuing it in public.

That’s where The Flaming Lips find themselves in a new Portlandia clip when they try to register for a music festival as two separate groups: The Flaming Lips featuring Wayne Coyne and More Flaming Lips, led by a caped Steven Drozd.

The two bands run into each other at the check-in table, run by Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein. Things escalate when Armisen and Brownstein ask who the Flaming Lips are, so much that a lawyer gets involved.
