Exclusive teaser trailer for 'The Invitation' requests your presence at a dinner party from hell

What can we tell you about new thriller, The Invitation? Well, we can tell you that it is directed by Karyn Kusama who, as the filmmaker responsible for Girlfight, Aeon Flux, and Jennifer’s Body, has had one of the more interesting Hollywood careers of recent times, as I’m sure she would concur. We can also tell you that it stars Logan Marshall-Green (Prometheus), Tammy Blanchard (Moneyball), Michiel Huisman (Game of Thrones), Emayatzy Corinealdi (Middle of Nowhere), and the great John Carroll Lynch (Fargo, Zodiac, American Horror Story) and is largely set at what could well be the worst fictional dinner party of all-time.

Actually, as your writer saw The Invitation at last year’s Stanley Film Festival, I could tell you a whole load more. But I won’t. The Invitation is one of those films about which it is best to know as little as possible before watching it. We can, however, recommend you check out the movie’s exclusive teaser trailer above, which does a good job of conveying the film’s weird, nerve-rending, what-the-hell-is-going-on? vibe while also giving away precious little plot-wise.

The Invitation arrives March 25 in theaters and on VOD.
