Disney’s Moana will make her debut later this year, and the studio is hard at work at bringing its newest princess to life. Dwayne Johnson, who voices a demigod named Maui in the upcoming animated adventure, is also busy prepping for his role, and on Sunday, he shared a photo on Instagram of a rehearsal for his big musical number.

“Today I will sing, I will rap and do it all in keys that don’t exist — yet somehow make it all sound wonderful to the world’s ear,” Johnson wrote. “The honey coated gravel voice has entered the damn building.”

Johnson also praised “Broadway king” Lin-Manuel Miranda, who, in addition to writing and starring in Hamilton, is penning music for Moana.

“Lin’s writing our film’s music and if you know his talents (star and creator of HAMILTON) you know how epically dope of an artist he is,” Johnson added.

Miranda also teased his involvement in the project while answering fan questions this weekend on Twitter, writing, “It is going well. I played a new tune for my wife and she got teary and she’s the toughest. So you guys are dead.”

Starring Hawaiian teenager Auli’i Cravalho as the voice of Moana, the CGI comedy-adventure follows the young girl as she teams up with Maui the demigod to set sail in search of a long-lost island in the South Pacific.

Moana hits theaters on Nov. 23.
