The Heat almost had an offensive title— until a female executive on the film spoke out.

That’s what actress Eva Longoria revealed during a roundtable discussion for the Beyond Beautiful issue of Entertainment Weekly. Longoria recalled how the executive had told her the studio suggested calling the Sandra Bullock-Melissa McCarthy comedy The B Team. “And she goes, ‘Why? Because they’re women? They’re lesser than? No,'” Longoria said.

Longoria expressed her shock that the studio would even said that, but the unnamed executive said it was a true story. “‘The B Team, wouldn’t that be funny?’ And everybody laughing,” Longoria said. “And she’s like, no. That’s not funny. It’s going to be called The Heat.”
