Shades of Blue season 2: Renewal announced by NBC

Shades of Blue has been renewed for a second season, NBC announced Friday.

The series stars Jennifer Lopez as Harlee Santos, a Brooklyn detective working under Lt. Matt Wozniak (Ray Liotta), who is forced to become an FBI informant after getting caught during an illegal job.

The cop drama premiered in January to solid ratings, making it one of NBC’s strongest drama debuts in recent years.

Shades of Blue airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
