The maestro will conduct once again.

Amazon has announced that Mozart in the Jungle has been renewed for a third season, with production slated to start later this year. After season 2 saw the story of Maestro Rodrigo De Souza (Gael García Bernal) and the New York Symphony escape the confines of the concrete jungle and head to Mexico, season 3 will whisk the orchestra off to Europe. And after the fraught contract negotiations, romantic entanglements, and more plaguing the orchestra in season 2, the overseas trip may be just what the maestro and his musicians need.

Mozart‘s renewal comes after two wins at the 2016 Golden Globes, for both Best TV Comedy or Musical and Best Actor in a TV Comedy or Musical for Bernal’s leading performance. For more on the show’s surprise wins, hear from Bernal about his reaction to both the personal win and the show’s. Mozart‘s double win comes a year after Amazon’s Transparent and its star Jeffrey Tambor won the Best TV Comedy and Best Actor awards.

Mozart also stars Lola Kirke, Saffron Burrows, Malcolm McDowell, Bernadette Peters, Hannah Dunne, and Jason Schwartzman, who also executive-produces the streaming series. Roman Coppola — who has directed episodes in each of the two seasons — and Paul Weitz are also executive producers.
