Ryan Reynolds has been a staunch supporter of Deadpool, even before his standalone film was greenlit. Now he’s working to support one of his loyal fans. In a Facebook post, the actor posted a photo of himself with “quite possibly the biggest Deadpool fan on earth,” Connor McGrath.

“Like Wade Wilson, Connor’s trying to put cancer in his rearview mirror,” Reynolds wrote. “About 6 weeks ago, I traveled to Edmonton Alberta to show Connor the movie at his hospital. Of course, the Deadpool was right up his alley because Connor’s the funniest, potty-mouthed Canadian mercenary I’ve ever met.”

Posting a link to Connor’s You Caring page, the actor urged his fans to join him in donating money for the young boy’s treatment costs. An update from the fundraiser revealed that the latest round of chemo treatment did not take and his disease has progressed.

“He’s my friend,” Reynolds continued. “I know lots of celebrities jump up and down touting a cause — and maybe I’m no different. But holy frozen s–t-slivers, I love this kid. He’s the GREATEST. And he needs your help to get well.”
