After a New York City judge declared Friday that pop star Kesha could not escape her recording contract with longtime producer Dr. Luke, many artists took to Twitter to side with the “We R Who We R” singer.

The legal battle started in 2014, when Kesha filed a lawsuit against the 42-year-old producer, born Lukasz Gottwald, claiming he sexually, physically, verbally, and emotionally assaulted her for a decade. Dr. Luke filed a countersuit — which was dismissed earlier this month — claiming Kesha and her manager planned to extort him. Because of Friday’s ruling, Kesha may have to record more albums with Dr. Luke if she wants to release music. In response, the hashtag #FreeKesha trended on Twitter, with many stars weighing in and some fans calling for a boycott of Sony Music, which distributes Kesha’s music.

Artists like Kelly Clarkson, who worked with Dr. Luke on songs like “Since U Been Gone” and “Behind These Hazel Eyes,” Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, and Jojo, who had her own label issues, chimed in. See their tweets below:
