Spirit Awards: Jacob Tremblay, Anthony Mackie present award

If you put a microphone in front of 9-year-old Room star Jacob Tremblay, chances are he’s going to say something priceless. That’s what happened when he presented an award during the Independent Spirit Awards with Anthony Mackie.

“It’s an honor to be here celebrating the best independent cinema, but an even greater honor to be standing here beside my all-time favorite hero,” he said. However, he wasn’t really seeing Mackie, but rather Falcon, his character in the Marvel movies.

“Is it hard to fly with those heavy metal wings?” Tremblay asked. “Where’s Red Wing, your highly trained hunting falcon who joins you in battle against your enemies?” As Mackie replied, “it looks like we’re having a Santa Claus issue.”

Tremblay will return as a presenter during Sunday’s Oscars ceremony, which means we should probably add a square to EW bingo in case he says something adorable.
