Kanye West’s latest album, The Life of Pablo, has been accompanied by a seemingly endless swarm of tweets, some of them more controversial than others. In a sneak peek at Tuesday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Kris Jenner discusses West’s tweets with the titular host.

DeGeneres said she liked West, but suggested the rapper filter his tweets through a board of directors in order to get rid of the more controversial ones. Jenner joked out that some days she’d like to “ground him,” but also pointed out that sometimes West means well, but his words come out wrong and then get incorrectly filtered through Twitter and media white noise.

“When he was like, ‘Oh, I am 53 million dollars in debt,’ that whole thing, what he was trying to say was that’s what he has done to spend on his clothing line over the last 15 or 20 years or whatever its been,” Jenner said. “But it comes out not exactly the right way and people get it misconstrued through the media. It’s complicated, what can I say?”
