Ice Age Collision Course trailer

The entirety of Earth is under threat in Ice Age: Collision Course, and it’s all thanks to the intergalactic pursuit of one special acorn.

The latest trailer for the fifth film in the Ice Age franchise showcases Scrat’s accidental — and surprisingly high-tech — journey into space in order to hold onto his acorn. But, unfortunately for everyone back on Earth, Scrat’s pursuit of his treasured possession accidentally sets off a meteor shower that puts Manny, Sid, and the rest of the Ice Age crew’s home at risk.

For a squirrel that already set off the break up of Pangea in Ice Age: Continental Drift, it should be no surprise that he’s caused yet another calamity. But in doing so, Scrat has also set off the start of a brand new age… with Jesse Tyler Ferguson as the yoga-posing Shangri Llama possibly being the key to salvation.

Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Denis Leary, Queen Latifah, and Jennifer Lopez are among the returning voice cast, which also includes newcomers to the series Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn 9-9), Adam DeVine (Workaholics), Max Greenfield (New Girl), and Neil deGrasse Tyson.

Find out whether the Ice Age crew will be able to survive the end of their age and the dawn of a new one when Ice Age: Collision Course hits theaters on July 22.
