James Corden has had a lot of fun guests on The Late Late Show over his tenure, but Tuesday night show may have featured the cutest of all. Bandleader Reggie Watts asked if he could bring on his muse, “the inspiration for almost all of my music,” and then unveiled none other than Star Wars: The Force Awakens breakout star BB-8. Via Watts as translator, BB beeped that he was “ecstatic” to be on the show.

Then came the main event. Watts started up a song of “droid funk,” got the rest of Corden’s house band jamming, and even had BB-8 start beeping along in rhythm. Then Watts launched into a full-on serenade of everyone’s favorite rolling droid.
